Dan Redlin now on display

Dan Redlin is our new Showcase artist for the month of January. He moved to Myrtle Creek from the bay area of California several years ago and has taken to our area in a big way.
He has horses, cats & a dog. A regular farmer! He has taken classes at Ye Olde Art Shoppe for more than two years now and has learned how to paint with oils, pastels and his latest adventure is watercolors. The picture you see here is one of his best works. Stop by and view his show in person and you'll see just how talented he is.
He will host an artist reception on Saturday, January 9th from 10am - 1pm but don't wait for the reception to view his work.

Last Chance to View Judy Kelley's Show

This week is your last chance to view Judy Kelley's full show. She has some spectacular pictures on display and it would be a shame if you missed them.

This is her show piece of the group. The colors are very rich & deep. You need to see it in person to experience the true effect of the colors.

Her reception was a great success & fun. People from as far away as Seattle Washington came to view her show.
Thanks for a great show Judy!

Thanks for another year!

Thanks to all of my faithful friends and customers who have helped me make it through a very rough year. If it weren't for all of you, we wouldn't have an art shop in Myrtle Creek. We are looking forward to another!
We have the Showcase of Fine Art II in full swing. If you haven't been in for one of the receptions, you are really missing out. If you are an artist that is interested in showcasing your style at Ye Olde Art Shoppe in the future, please contact us!

Art classes start January the week of January 11. Check out our list of available classes.
Sign up early since most of the classes fill up quickly. You can register for UCC Community Ed classes here at the shop.

We are finalizing details on a Rose Workshop with Billie Sheets and a few other different things. How about a greeting card workshop? Anyone interested? Jewelry Making? If you have something you want us to try, let us know!

Judy Kelley now on display

The Showcase of Fine Arts is now featuring the artwork of Judy Kelley, a local pastelest & colored pencil artist. She uses Canson pastel paper on the textured side to get the look she likes. Canson is available at Ye Olde Art Shoppe for only $1.99 per sheet. Most of Judy's pictures are painted on a half sheet.

Judy's art will be on display for the entire month of December. Stop by to see her work and enter a free drawing. You could win one of two original paintings by Judy.

Judy has been painting with pastels for about 6 years and before that played with colored pencils. She has recently renewed her interest in colored pencils when she took a class taught by Stephany Harrison at Ye Olde Art Shoppe.

You are also invited to attend her reception on Saturday, December 5th from 10am - 1pm. Refreshments will be served and the public is welcome.
